MOYTIRRA SUMMER SCHOOL is held by DINÂMIA’CET, from ISCTE-IUL in Lisbon, at the Campus of University of Azores (UAc) in S.Miguel, one of the most prestigious Universities in the islands of the Atlantic Ocean. The master classes, discussions, and workshop will take place at the Campus buildings in Ponta Delgada designed by Inês Lobo and As*atelier de Santos, among others. The final presentations will be held at Arquipélago – Center for Contemporary Arts in Ribeira Grande, designed by the awarded Portuguese architect João Mendes Ribeiro. The participants will be hosted at the university residences Laranjeiras designed by As*atelier de Santos. Moytirra Summer School master classes will be presented by Prof. Mónica Pacheco, Prof. Ana Vaz Milheiro (DINÂMIA’CET-IUL | ISCTE-IUL) and Prof. Omar Khattab (College of Architecture, Kuwait University). The Studio sessions will be lead by Ana Pedro & Pedro Maria (Ponto Atelier), Isabel Ourique & Pedro Furtado (NX2 Arquitectos), Manar Moursi (University of Waterloo, CND), Pedro Duarte Bento (Studio Pedro Duarte Bento), Ricardo Camacho (School of Architecture CAMD, Northeastern Univ., US) and Zenovia Toloudi (Dartmouth College, US). The architecture studios involved will also present a lecture about their practice in the islands.

Moytirra Summer School takes place between the 2nd and the 6th of September 2017
Who can take part:
Moytirra Summer School is open to graduate students (4th and 5th years) as well as professionals worldwide.
The oficial language of the sumer school will be English.
Each participant who requires a visa for Portugal is responsible for obtaining this visa in good time.
Participants should bring their own lap-top computers. WLAN is freely available. Please ensure that all your own equipment is covered by your insurance.
Moytirra Summer School and DINÂMIA’CET-IUL disclaim any liability for any damage to persons or property that may occur during the event. The participants are responsible for arranging their own insurance.
Applications to Moytirra Summer School can be sent via e-mail to DINÂMIA’CET-IUL: firstname.lastname@example.org. Only students that have registration for Moytirra Summer School are allowed to attend. The registration includes: a weeklong workshop, 4 lectures and 3 master classes from the guest architects; one day field trip in private bus around the Island and half day field trip in private bus to Ribeira Grande; 5 lunches, one dinner and a farewell party; accommodation for 6 nights in the University Residences (from 1st of September to the 6th) and a Diploma for each attendant student. Travel and Visa expenses, meals other than those mentioned in the programare not included.

If a student wishes to cancel registration, a request in written form must be sent via e-mail and submitted to email@example.com.
If the written request is received more than one month prior to Moytirra Summer School start date the student will be entitled to a full refund minus 200€ of administrative fee.
If the written request is received within 30 days to Moytirra Summer School start date students will not be entitled to a refund.
